Ken Tollstam
SRA International, of Fairfax, Va., named Ken Tollstam vice president within its Aviation Programs business group. Tollstam will be responsible for leveraging SRA’s technology in the domestic air-traffic management (ATM) market as it transitions to NextGen. Tollstam has more than 20 years of business development and management experience in the global aerospace, aviation, radar and air-traffic systems markets. He joins SRA after holding senior positions at Sensis Corp., Boeing Commercial Airplane Group and Hughes Aircraft Company.
William Gay
Gulfstream Aerospace, of Savannah, Ga., named William Gay director, completion sales, where he will supervise sales activities for completion centers in Savannah and Brunswick, Ga.; Long Beach, Calif.; Appleton, Wis.; and Dallas. Most recently, Gay was a Gulfstream completion sales process team leader. Before rejoining Gulfstream in 2000, Gay was with Goodrich Avionics Systems, now L-3 Communications.
Rockwell Collins Appointments
Rockwell Collins announced appointments within its International and Service Solutions organization (I&SS). Scott Gunnufson was named vice president and general manager, Service Solutions. LeAnn Ridgeway has been appointed vice president and managing director, Americas. Ken Estelle has been appointed senior director, business development. Estelle will focus on supporting the service needs of the Commercial and Government business units. Thierry Tosi was named vice president, strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
Randy Mikolai
Omnetics Connector Corp., of Minneapolis, named Randy Mikolai to its internal sales department. He will perform a variety of functions, including new business development in Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin.
Thomas Kennedy
Raytheon named Thomas A. Kennedy president of its Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business. Kennedy most recently was vice president for Tactical Airborne Systems (TAS) within Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS). Prior to his role with TAS, Kennedy was vice president for the SAS Mission System Integration business, with responsibility for the U.K. Ministry of Defence’s Airborne Stand-off Radar program.
Ron Worley
Thrane & Thrane named Ron Worley regional sales manager for Aeronautical Products. Worley will be responsible for managing the AVIATOR product line in the eastern United States. Worley has more than 25 years of experience working for major industry players in product support, program management, sales and business development. His career includes more than 20 years of military flying as an Air Force C-130 command pilot.
Joe Zachman
Endicott Interconnect Technologies, of Endicott, N.Y., named Joe Zachman chief operating officer, responsible for manufacturing, procurement, materials and maintenance operations. Previously, Zachman was employed with Wabash National Corp., TTM Technologies and Hadco Corp.
David Manser
TASC, Inc., of Chantilly, Va., named David Manser director of technology for its Enterprise Systems Business Unit. Manser was most recently with Boeing as program manager and IT director on its internal advanced experimental network, LabNet, which serves as the backbone for modeling, simulation and experimentation at agencies such as the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and FAA.
John Young, Jr.
Alenia North America Inc., a subsidiary of Alenia Aeronautica, appointed John H. Young, Jr. CEO. He joined Alenia North America as the CEO of its subsidiary, Alenia North America Defense, in 2009. Young worked more than 30 years at Northrop Grumman in its Electronics, Space, and Aircraft businesses. He went on to become chief operating officer of EADS North America and CEO of EADS North America Tankers. Recently, Young managed the Young Consulting Group, which provided services to the domestic and international defense and aerospace industries.
Kevin Mitchell
Northrop Grumman named Kevin Mitchell sector vice president of production operations for its Technical Services sector. Mitchell most recently served as the director for production and site manager at Northrop Grumman’s Palmdale, Calif., Manufacturing Center, where he supported the F-35 and Global Hawk unmanned aircraft system. He also served as the director of production for the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet program.
Dale Hawkins
StandardAero, of Tempe, Ariz., appointed Dale Hawkins to the newly created position of airframe sales manager for its Business Aviation Sector. Hawkins will focus primarily on Falcon service sales. He most recently worked at Kal-Aero/Duncan Aviation, where he spent 28 years as a technician, team leader, department manager and airframe service sales representative.
