Atlas Air, a cargo airline based in Purchase, N.Y., signed a contract with Aircraft Management Technologies (AMT) to use AMT’s Flightman software for Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) applications. Atlas Air, a participant in FAA’s Capstone 3 program, operates a fleet of 747 freighters. AMT software includes eJourney Log, Large Content Manager and eForms applications, and will be fully integrated with the Jeppesen Airport Moving Map applications. AMT said the software enables the management and control of content distribution to the EFBs in a cost effective, efficient and compliant manner, and it allows pilots to record data on the EFBs and position them to exchange pre-flight and post-flight data with the airline’s back-office systems directly from the cockpit.
