Latin American low-fare airline GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A. will deploy navAero’s tBag C22 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) system on its fleet of B737 NGs. The companies said the EFB contract is a part of GOL’s implementation of a program for a fleet-wide technology system of ACARS-through-Iridium reporting and management of their messages. NavAero said it will be implementing the deployment of its EFB hardware in collaboration with technology solutions for the ACARS-though-Iridium being provided by Avionica. The integrated technology/communications solutions will begin deployment in early 2010.
