Thales U.K. signed contracts with Belfast International and Cardiff airports for the program management, supply and installation of co-mounted primary surveillance and monopulse mode S secondary surveillance radars, complete with Eurocat air traffic control (ATC) systems. Financial terms of the contracts were not disclosed. These systems will be installed later this year and become operational early next year, according to Thales. The Thales STAR 20001 and co-mounted RSM 970 S2 Mode S MSSR radars feed data into the Thales Eurocat-C ATC center.
