Mike Stolarik
QinetiQ North America, of McLean, Va., named Mike Stolarik president and chief operating officer. Stolarik is a 30-year industry veteran. Prior to this appointment, he was president of QinetiQ North America’s Mission Solutions Group. Stolarik served as president and COO at Analex before its acquisition by QinetiQ North America. In the 12-year period before joining Analex, he was the managing partner of the Insight Consulting Group LLC; executive vice president of Titan Corp.’s Technical Resources Sector; president and CEO of GRC International Inc., a subsidiary of AT&T; and president and CEO of Space Applications Corp. Prior to this, Stolarik spent 20 years at BDM International, Inc.
Patrick Major
SH&E, a subsidiary of ICF International, appointed Patrick Major vice president of Flight Operations, Air Carrier Certification, Training and Organizational Development. Major has more than 20 years of airline certification, flight operations, regulatory compliance, management and training experience, and has been involved in both domestic and foreign government and regulatory affairs. Previously, he was aviation safety inspector-instructor for several developing nations. He also held positions in the air carrier and flight training industries, including director of flight operations, director of training and project manager.
Kevin Iocovozzi
Flight Display Systems, Alpharetta, Ga., named Kevin Iocovozzi as Gulfstream program manager. In the new position, Iocovozzi will serve as a central point of contact for the various Gulfstream OEM and Gulfstream Service Center offices. Iocovozzi spent the past 12 years building the sales team at Corporate Jet Support. Previously, he worked at Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., in a series of positions with increasing responsibility between 1985 and 1995.
Alain Brunais
FreeFlight Systems, of Waco, Texas, named Alain Brunais chief financial officer. Brunais has more than 35 years of experience in finance and accounting with global corporations, primarily in the aerospace industry. Previously, Brunais was chief financial officer with Turbomeca, a subsidiary of Safran. Also, he was the chief financial officer for AQA Alliance (now Veolia Environmental Services), which provides management, consulting, and engineering services for water and waste water treatment plants. Brunais started his career in the aerospace industry as a sales engineer with EADS.
Rob Waterhouse
Satcom Direct, of Satellite Beach, Fla., named Rob Waterhouse director of sales. He will be responsible for sales of Satcom Direct’s portfolio of services, with a focus on ViaSat YonderSM Ku-band Mobile Broadband service and Satcom Direct’s FlightDeck Freedom. Waterhouse has more than 10 years of experience selling VHF and satellite communications and network services to commercial airlines and selling VHF and satellite communications and flight-support services to the business aviation industry. He most recently was employed with ARINC.
Jack Nager
SRA International, of Fairfax, Va., named Jack Nager vice president, Aviation Programs, leading the company’s aviation business, and spearheading the company’s plan to broaden its footprint in air-traffic management systems and services. Nager is an expert in the transportation/aviation market, with more than 30 years at FAA. He had a wide range of responsibilities with the agency, and was involved in developing, modernizing and sustaining the air-traffic control (ATC) system; improving processes and technologies for the ATC infrastructure; negotiating technical cooperation agreements with other nations; and overseeing ATC modernization projects in all 50 states. Most recently, Nager served as director of business development for transportation and airport security programs for a major government contractor.
Michael France
The National Air Transportation Association (NATA), based in Alexandria, Va., named Michael E. France as manager of regulatory affairs. France previously worked with Volo Aviation in Manassas, Va., as a quality control and training coordinator. Before that, he was the lead line service technician/quality control inspector for Next Flight Aviation. NATA is a public policy group for aviation businesses.
StandardAero Appointments
StandardAero named Chris Swan vice president/general manager of its Component Services operation in Cincinnati. Before joining StandardAero, Swan served in various field service roles with GE Aviation, including regional director, Americas for Commercial Field Service, where he established the OEM support model for commercial customers and established the model for airframe OEM flight-test and production support. The company also named Jack Lawless president of Associated Air Center in Dallas. Lawless will manage his new duties as Associated Air Center’s president concurrent with his existing duties as StandardAero’s chief operating officer. Previously, Lawless was executive vice president, Global Supply Chain of DAE Manufacturing & Engineering, a position he held since 2007. Before that, he was vice president, Aerospace Global Sourcing, and vice president, OEM, for Honeywell Aerospace.
