Wizz Air, a Central and Eastern European carrier, selected Teledyne Controls, of El Segundo, Calif., to supply its Flight Data Interface Management Unit (FDIMU) for installation on its fleet of A320s. The carrier already has Teledyne’s FDIMU installed on 13 A320 aircraft. The unit will be installed on 70 aircraft with the potential of an additional 25 per Wizz Air’s option. Wizz Air is using Teledyne’s FDIMU to perform flight data acquisition, aircraft condition monitoring and data recording. Wizz Air also selected Teledyne’s Application Generation Software (AGS) to further advance their aircraft condition monitoring capability, the company said.
