General Atomics Wins UAV Contract

General Atomics Aeronautical System was awarded an $18.7 million contract from the U.S. Army for system development and demonstration for the extended range/multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle. Work will be performed in San Diego, Adelanto, Calif., Palmdale, Calif., Salt Lake City, Hunt Valley, Md., and Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2009.
