Naverus Names New COO

Required navigation performance (RNP) provider Naverus named Capt. Steve Forte chief operating officer, effective Nov. 1. Forte has more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, and was most recently senior vice president of flight operations for United Airlines. Forte is also a past chairman of the Air Transport Association Operations Council and the International Air Transport Association Operations Committee. He has extensive experience in flight operations and technology with more than 14,000 hours flying time and type ratings in the B727, B747, B747-400, B757, B767, B777 and A320. "Steve’s operational focus will allow us to deliver against increasing demand with the scale and systems needed to produce the highest value procedures for our customers — procedures that make flying safer, enhance access to airports, increase operational efficiency and expand airspace capacity all while improving environmental performance," Dan Gerrity, CEO of Naverus, said.
