American Airlines will use an in-flight entertainment (IFE) and in-seat power systems by Inflight Canada for its Boeing 767-300 refurbishment project currently under way. Financial terms were not disclosed. Inflight Canada, based in Montreal, will supply its iCACHE design, which will eliminate wires within the Business Class and economy class cabins of American’s 58 Boeing 767-300 aircraft. Inflight Canada said the design improves the maintainability and reliability of both systems by providing easy access to the components and a more efficient environment for the electronics of the system.
