STG Aerospace received a supplemental type certificate (STC) for its Wireless Emergency Primary Power System for the whole Boeing 737NG family, the U.K.-based company said. The emergency lighting system has a built-in wireless monitoring and diagnostic capability, the company said. The approval data from the FAA STC will now be submitted to EASA for reciprocal approval, and STG Aerospace said it anticipates securing this imminently. In addition, the company said the rollout program for FAA and EASA certifications across the remainder of the Boeing family is in progress, before making applications for Airbus and other aircraft types.
