ARINC, Annapolis, Md., received a three-year contract to provide high-speed satellite data and voice connectivity for three Bombardier Q300 surveillance aircraft ordered by the Swedish Coast Guard. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. ARINC  will provide its GLOBALinkSM/Satellite service using Inmarsat Swift64 connectivity, which will enable broadband transmission of data, photographs and voice back to the ground while the aircraft are in flight. The Q300s, scheduled for delivery later this year, will be used in various coastal activities, including environmental monitoring, to fulfill the Swedish Coast Guard’s next-generation fisheries and environmental surveillance missions.
