Sagem Avionics, a subsidiary of Sagem Défense Sécurité, said the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Air Unit in California will equip its fleet of Eurocopter AS350B-3 A-Stars with Sagem Avionics displays. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sagem said the Sheriff’s Department has been flying Eurocopter AS350B-3 A-Stars with a single Sagem Primary Flight Display for a year and have issued purchase orders for three additional aircraft. The retrofit on two aircraft will be done at Rotorcraft Support, at Van Nuys, Calif., and the remaining aircraft, manufactured at American Eurocopter, will have Sagem Avionics display installed at the Eurocopter manufacturing facility.
