L2 Consulting Services won a supplemental type certificate (STC) from the FAA to install the International Communication Group’s ICS-120 Iridium Communication System on B757-200/200PF/200CB/300 series aircraft. In addition to obtaining the STC, Dripping Springs, Texas-based L2 said it will be providing 10 B757 Parts Manufacturing Approval installation kits for the Iridium Communication System. The ICS-120 is a single channel communication system that was certified for cockpit communications using a telephone dialer adapter. Data communication growth provisions are available for future Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System applications, L2 said.
