Joining the growing list of aviation and aerospace companies entering the India market, Smiths Aerospace and Indian partner HCL Technologies will open a development center in Chennai, India. Under an agreement signed last December, HCL, an information technology services company, will provide the resources and management at the center with 60 assigned positions for engineering services. “This is another key win for HCL in the aerospace sector and reiterates our leadership position in offering mission critical software, hardware and mechanical engineering services,” said Ramesh Pillai, HCL’s director of aerospace practice, North America.
