Northrop Grumman Wins Portugal Deal

Northrop Grumman won a contract to integrate its AN/APN-241 low-power color weather and navigation radar on the C-295 aircraft for the Portuguese Air Force (PAF). Financial terms were not disclosed. The contract was awarded by European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company, Construcciones Aeronauticas SA. As part of the contract, Northrop Grumman will provide the operational flight program software to meet PAF requirements for commonality with existing C-130 radar hardware. Northrop Grumman said the work will be performed by its Electronic Systems
sector in Norwalk, Conn., and Baltimore.
