BAE Systems has named Aaron Penkacik as the chief technical officer (CTO) for its Information & Electronics Systems Integration sector. Penkacik remains the CTO of the Information and Electronic Warfare Systems sector and vice president of the Advanced Systems and Technology organization. Rosa, Senior Technical Support Specialist
Sandel Avionics, Vista, Calif., recently hired Arthur L. Rosa Jr. for the newly created position of senior technical support specialist. In the position Rosa will facilitate the installation of the company’s ST3400 TAWS/RMI (terrain avoidance warning system/radio magnetic indicator) in aircraft that must comply with the Federal Aviation Administration’s TAWS mandate. The Avionics Division of ITT Industries recently promoted John Capeci to vice president and director, business development. Capeci’s 30 years of experience in defense and aerospace electronics includes positions at Honeywell International, Smiths Industries and Bendix Corp. (now part of Honeywell). Thomas Vice was named vice president of business development for Northrop Grumman Corp.’s Integrated Systems sector. Mahone, Assistant Vice President
The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) has named its current director of space policy, Bruce Mahone, the assistant vice president of technical operations. Mahone’s new position will require him to coordinate the activities of AIA’s Technical Operations Council, which develops policy, requirements and standards for technical and operations issues. Peraus, Head of Air & Naval Defence
Franz Peraus has been named the new head of Air and Naval Defence for the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co.’s (EADS’) Defence and Communications Systems business unit in Ulm, Germany.
