Jeff Babione will take over Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Developments Program, also known as Skunk Works, in the wake of Rob Weiss’ impending year-end retirement.

Babione, currently EVP and general manager of Lockheed Martin’s F-35 program, has worked at the company for more than 25 years. Other than F-35s, he has overseen F-16s and F-22s for Lockheed Martin.

Filling the vacancy atop the F-35 program created by Babione’s move to Skunk Works will be Greg Ulmer, who currently serves as VP of the F-35 production business unit, executing contracts. Ulmer previously worked in Skunk Works and modernization of the C-5M.

These changes are effective March 19, according to Lockheed Martin.
