[Avionics Today 07-13-2016] Qatar Airways is set to acquire up to 10 percent of Latam Airines Group’s total shares through a subscription agreement. Qatar will acquire the shares in connection with a capital increase.
As provided for in the subscription agreement, Latam will hold an extraordinary shareholders meeting no later than Sept. 2 to propose a capital increase in the amount of $613 million through the issuance of new shares at a price of $10 per share. The companies expect to complete the transaction within the fourth quarter of this year.
