ANSWER:
At present, Inmarsat has allowed for terminal manufacturers to offer up to 4 separate SBB (SwiftBroadband) channels per airborne terminal on an aircraft. However, there are many implications of employing such a configuration. At this time, Thrane & Thrane has elected not to offer multi-channel SBB terminals. However, we remain vigilant on what applications may emerge that would give us a solid business case to offer such configurations in the near future. The ability to provide multi-channel solutions does not present any technical challenges for a
terminal manufacturer.
