[Avionics Today 03-16-2016] Thales has launched Ecosystem, a data-driven solution that aims to provide decision support for efficiency, capacity and operations optimization for airlines. Ecosystem enables Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), airlines, and airport operators to plan, monitor, manage, and assess aviation operations. The system will support the 2016 Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) TopLink demonstration across France, Croatia, and Austria.

The platform provides a suite of tools and predictive analytics to enable each stakeholder to optimize their own operation as well as contribute to global optimization through data sharing and collaborative applications.

Azerbaijan has emerged as the launch customer for the Ecosystem Advanced Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) application. AZANS will implement the solution at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, where the company is also building an airspace supervision and efficiency center alongside the existing airport control tower. At the center, AZANS will deploy Thales’s TopSky-Tracker for a unified air surveillance picture as well as Ecosystem to improve airspace management and services provided to airspace users.
