[Avionics Today 04-08-2015] Gogo has introduced a new aircraft connectivity system for the General Aviation (GA) market, the ATG 1000. Using the Gogo Biz network, ATG 1000 enables calling and texting as well as in-flight use of the Internet. The ATG 1000 is also software upgradable, allowing new features to be incorporated into the system through a software key provided by Gogo.

“The ATG 1000’s affordability will make a connected in-flight experience accessible to a whole new category of aircraft,” said John Wade, executive vice president and general manager at Gogo Business Aviation. Gogo expects to begin ATG 1000 shipments this summer.
