[Avionics Today 02-25-2015] Garmin’s Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) solution has been certified for the Gulfstream G200 business jet. The Garmin GTX 3000 Mode S Extended Squitter (ES) transponder and GDL 88 ADS-B data link combine to fulfill global ADS-B equipage requirements.

The GTX 3000 uses WAAS/SBAS position information provided by the GDL 88 to broadcast aircraft identity, state and intent data (DO-260B compliant) to Air Traffic Control (ATC).

The Gulfstream G150 business jet has already been certified for the ADS-B solution, and Garmin is looking to receive additional Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) for several other business jets in the near future.
