[Avionics Today 01-30-2015] FL Technics Training, a global provider of aviation technical training services, announced further expansion of its EASA Part 147 certificate by supplementing it with a new Embraer ERJ-190 type training.

Following the completion of the certification process, FL Technics is now qualified to provide aviation specialists with Embraer ERJ-190 series (GE CF34) B1.1 and B2 (sub-) categories aircraft type theoretical training. The training covers general familiarization with the aircraft’s systems and power plants, conducting system, component and functional checks, component replacement and troubleshooting as well as other subjects.

“As the operated ERJ-190s are reaching the performance edge where they will naturally require more heavy maintenance works, we have noticed that both operators and certain [Maintenance, Repair and Overhauls] MROs are more actively exploring the need for relevant in-house maintenance specialists,“ said Kestutis Volungevicius, the head of engineering and training at FL Technics.
