[Avionics Today 11-25-2014] DAC International has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval on its UNS-1Lw Flight Management System (FMS).

The UNS-1Lw FMS and LP/LPV monitor provides capability for point-to-point navigation as well as all ARINC 424 leg types, including Radio Frequency (RF), Standard Instrument Departures (SIDs), Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STARs), holding patterns and instrument approaches. The system aims to provide a seamless operation in all phases of flight from take off to landing.

“With the proliferation of LPV approaches in the United States, Canada and Europe, operators can now benefit from increased operational flexibility under all types of weather conditions while enhancing safety,” said General Manager of DAC International Cisco Hernandez.
