[Avionics Today 10-06-2014] Boeing has announced deliveries across its commercial and defense operations for the third quarter of 2014. Of the 186 aircraft delivered by the company in the commercial sector this quarter, 120 were 737 Next Generation aircraft — bringing the 2014 year-to-date total to 359. Deliveries of other commercial aircraft made up a significantly smaller segment this quarter, with 27 777 deliveries and 31 787 deliveries. Reporting 528 commercial jetliner deliveries to date, the boost this quarter as compared to the same period last year is significant, at a nearly 11 percent increase from a year ago.

Meanwhile, in defense and space operations the company reported 48 total deliveries, including 14 Chinook helicopters, 13 F/A-18E/F and EA-18G fighter jets and 11 Apache helicopters, four P-8, 2 F-15, 2 C-17, one Airborne Early Warning and Control (AWE&C) aircraft and one satellite.
