[Avionics Today 08-28-2014] Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) received formal approval to undertake an absorption-type split under which the company’s commercial aero engines operations will be taken over by the new Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Aero Engines.
MHI hopes the new division of the company will boost competitiveness while responding to the brisk demand in the aero engine market, and expects a minimal impact on earnings for both companies due to the split.
