Embraer on Thursday announced certification from FAA, EASA and ANAC Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) for installation of next generation

The Brazilian airframe manufacturer received the certifications to install Required Navigation Performance (RNP), Vertical Navigation (VNAV), Future Air Navigation System (FANS) and Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) on its 600s and 650s.

“These certifications significantly increase the accuracy and efficiency of navigation and make the Legacy 600 and the Legacy 650 completely ready for the coming modernization of air traffic control systems worldwide,” said Ernest Edwards, president of Embraer Executive Jets. “These capabilities further increase the value of our aircraft as part of our effort to make Embraer Executive Jets aircraft the best business decision for our customers."
