Kevin Wright
TTTech, based in Vienna, Austria, named Kevin Wright executive vice president of TTTech North America. In his new role, Wright also takes responsibility for TTTech Group’s global activities in the aerospace industry. Wright most recently was senior vice president of Strategy, Sales and Marketing for Meggitt Control Systems, a business unit of Meggitt PLC. Prior to that, he was responsible for sales and marketing at Crane Aerospace. Previously, Wright was employed by Lucas Aerospace in the United Kingdom, working on engine controls.
Stefan Hansen
Lufthansa Systems named Stefan Hansen CEO, succeeding Wolfgang F. W. Gohde, who has left the company. Hansen has been employed by Lufthansa Systems since 1999, most recently heading the Infrastructure Services division. In 2001, he became managing director of the subsidiary Lufthansa Systems Infratec and from 2004 also managed Lufthansa Systems Network. Hansen was appointed managing director of EDS Operations Services in 2006 and later EDS Business Solutions. During that time, he was responsible for service delivery to more than 300 customers in Northern and Central Europe. Earlier, Hansen worked for Siemens, Unilever and Körber.
Duncan Aviation Appointments
Duncan Aviation, of Lincoln, Neb., named Alan Huggett Northwest regional manager. Huggett was most recently a service sales representative at the Battle Creek, Mich., location. He joined Ducan in 1998 after a career in the U.S. Air Force. Duncan also named Michael Brown airframe service sales representative. Brown, who has an A&P license, inspection authorization (IA) certificate, spent 13 years with Aviation Charter Services. The company named Justin Vena avionics installations sales representative. Vena joined Duncan in 1999, having worked at Xel Communications and Lockheed Martin.
Ametek Inc. Appointments
Ametek Inc., Paoli, Penn., appointed Richard A. Madamba as senior vice president, Aerospace and Defense. The company also announced that Gregory P. Young will fill Madamba’s previous role as vice president and general manager, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul, for Ametek Aerospace and Defense. Madamba joined Ametek in 2005 as vice president and general manager of Thermal Management Systems, following 20 years with United Technologies. Young formerly was president and general manager of Texas Aero Engine Services.
Bill Knauf
Constant Aviation of Cleveland named Bill Knauf avionics technical support manager. Knauf began his aviation career in the U.S. Air Force as an airborne navigation systems specialist. He worked for Bendix and for 30 years with Honeywell.
Patricia McMahon, Thomas Vice
Northrop Grumman appointed Patricia McMahon as sector vice president and general manager of its Aerospace Systems sector Battle Management and Engagement Systems Division. Most recently, she served as vice president and deputy of the division. McMahon joined Northrop Grumman in 2003. Previously, she was a vice president and general manager for BAE Systems in Greenlawn, N.Y. The Battle Management and Engagement Systems Division develops airborne early warning, maritime and ground surveillance and battle management systems. Northrop Grumman also named Thomas E. Vice corporate vice president and president of its Technical Services sector. The sector’s capabilities include systems support, training, simulation, lifecycle optimization and engineering for programs such as the KC-10 Extender, U.S. Army Battle Combat Training Program and Hunter UAV. Vice, who joined the company in 1986, most recently was sector vice president and general manager, Battle Management and Engagement Systems division. Before that, he was vice president, Airborne Early Warning and Battle Management Command and Control-Navy programs.
Ian Dawkins
OnAir, based in Geneva, named Ian Dawkins CEO, replacing Benoit Debains, who resigned to take a position at Airbus. Dawkins most recently was senior vice president and head of Future Programs at Airbus, a position he held since 2006. He started his career with commercial system controls, then moved into aircraft control and landing systems with Fairy Hydraulics as head of program management. Dawkins joined Airbus U.K., in 1989. After a stint as program director for the BAE Systems wide body program, he was appointed vice president, Program Operation and Management, for the Airbus A320 family.
Filippo Bagnato
Airframer ATR appointed Filippo Bagnato CEO. He succeeded Stéphane Mayer, whose three-year mandate had expired, according to ATR statute. Bagnato previously was CEO of ATR between 2004 and 2007. During the last three years, while serving as Finmeccanica executive vice president, Technical, Industrial and Commercial Development, he assumed the chairmanship of ATR’s board of directors. His previous roles include CEO of Eurofighter GmbH in Munich; director of the Eurofighter consortium, Eurofighter International; deputy chairman of Aermacchi; and chief operating officer of Alenia Aeronautica Co.
