SELEX Sensors and Airborne Systems, Arlington, Va., was selected to provide its Galileo Seaspray 7500E active electronically scanned array (AESA) surveillance radar system for the U.S. Coast Guard’s HC-130H upgrade program. The value of the four-year contract is $32 million. Fifteen HC-130H turboprops will receive the new radar systems. The radar system, which operates using a dedicated multistation display suite and surveillance/SAR, includes a Human Machine Interface implemented on large format, and touch-screen displays on the radar’s Ethernet-based Local Area Network, which enables multiple operators to use different modes and display formats simultaneously at different stations around the aircraft.
