Boeing Service Co., based in Richardson, Texas, signed a $31 million contract with the U.S. Air Force to provide broadband data service to Department of Defense and Department of State operated aircraft equipped with the former Connexion by Boeing system. Typical applications include Internet, e-mail, video teleconferencing and server access. The service also includes access to Direct Broadcast Satellite television service compatible with the system.
