Honda Aircraft Begins HondaJet Deliveries

[Avionics Today 12-24-2015] Honda Aircraft Co. completed the first delivery of its light business jet, the HondaJet, on Dec. 23, 2015. The delivery milestone follows final type certification issued by the FAA on Dec. 8, 2015

Pilot training is already being conducted for HondaJet operators with a full-motion, Level D flight simulator installed at the Honda Aircraft Training Center in Greensboro. 
 
The aircraft seats five passengers and features the Garmin G3000 avionics suite with three 14-inch high-resolution displays. HondaJet is powered by Honda GE HF120 engines and features a 420 knot maximum cruise speed with a range of 1,180 nautical miles. 
 

Honda is seeking a production rate of three to four aircraft per month in 2016.
