The West African Development Bank Acquires Shareholdings in Air Côte d’Ivoire and ASKY Airlines

[Avionics Today 09-25-2014] The board of directors of the West African Development Bank (BOAD) held its 94th ordinary meeting on Tuesday in Dakar, Senegal, in which it approved the acquisition of ASKY Airlines and Air Cote d’Ivoire Airlines.

BOAD will acquire a shareholding of more than $388 million in Air Cote d’Ivoire, the national airline of the Ivory Coast and will increase its shareholding by more than $580 million in ASKY, a passenger airline located in Lome, Togo that operates across West and Central African countries.
