[Avionics Today March 4, 2014] Rockwell Collins subsidiary Intertrade is expanding with a new distribution center at London Heathrow Airport.

Operated by SDV Logistics, the facility will initially house Next Generation Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and ATR 72 components, along with “high demand avionics" and engine parts, Rockwell Collins says.

“This strategic investment represents an important next step in broadening Intertrade’s global footprint,” said Shawn Bergquist, director of Intertrade. “Customers that require international inventory, particularly in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EuMEA), will see immediate benefits, including reduced costs, increased parts availability and shorter lead times.”
