Rockwell Collins Awarded Air Force ATC Pact

Rockwell Collins was awarded a subcontract by the U.S. Air Force potentially worth up to $85 million to provide the SMART Blade Radio to upgrade the U.S. Air Force worldwide air traffic control (ATC) radio communication network. The subcontract was awarded by Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), the prime integrator for the U.S. Air Force’s ATC Radio Upgrade program. The SMART Blade Radio is a scalable, low-risk radio that provides Very High Frequency/Ultra High Frequency.
