Boeing has a new partnership with the Queensland government to develop autonomous vehicle systems in Australia.

The company said the Australia-based autonomous systems development program would be its largest outside of the U.S., creating 131 jobs.

Boeing said it “plans to work with small-to-medium-sized Queensland businesses to develop transformative ‘brain-on-board’ technology.” Air and sea vehicles will both be worked on under the Queensland-Boeing partnership.
