[Avionics Today 09-22-2016] JetBlue has become the launch customer for the first module of Airbus’ Scheduled Maintenance Optimizer, following a successful prototyping and demonstration of value.

The application focuses on long-term planning and aims to help decrease maintenance costs through the optimization of scheduled maintenance events at fleet, aircraft and single task level. It relies on algorithms to enable JetBlue planners to compute optimized schedules for a fleet of more than 200 aircraft over a five-year horizon.
