New Joint Venture Aims to Take on Government Airborne Communications Market

[Avionics Today 09-17-2015] A new joint company formed by Eclipse and NSSLGlobal, Aerosatcom, has been launched to address the needs of the government airborne satellite communications market. According to the company, the airborne satellite communications sector has recently received a great deal of focus in military and government markets. In recent years, the market for such solutions has seen substantial growth, with a predicted growth of 14 percent for L-band and 24 percent for Ka-band.

AEROSATCOM has been established as a U.K.-registered company and will be working with resellers and partners globally to meet the needs of government airborne customer requirements, such as head of state connectivity and communications for military operators.
