[Avionics Today 09-04-2014] Bombardier’s Challenger 350 has been granted full type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). This means EASA-registered customers will soon begin taking delivery of the new aircraft.
Bombardier Business Aircraft President Eric Martel notes that the company is eager to get it into the hands of EASA operators and boasts that they have a strong demand for the new aircraft due to its “increased performance and new cabin design.”
The Challenger 350’s cockpit is equipped with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Advanced avionics system, which includes synthetic vision, dual inertial reference systems, a paperless capable cockpit and MultiScan weather radar. The avionics are designed to reduce the workload for pilots, allowing for increased situational awareness, according to Bombardier.
