Boeing announced a memorandum of understanding with Elbit Systems to provide "self-defense" solutions Boeing military aircraft for international customers.
Under the new agreement, the two companies will offer Elbit’s Directed Infrared Counter Measure (DIRCM), compact systems designed to protect fixed-wing and vertical-lift aircraft from common battlefield threats.
Boeing said its engineers are currently working to integrate the systems into new and existing aircraft.
