Avionics Magazine will launch the Avionics for NextGen Conference on Sept. 13, 2011, at Caesars in Atlantic City, N.J. The conference will kick off with a keynote address by the FAA’s Director of the William J. Hughes Technical Center Wilson Felder.

The Avionics for NextGen Conference will bring together hundreds of aviation professionals from FAA, commercial markets, military and government to review the FAA’s Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) initiative. In addition, the cross-cutting issue of closing the business case for airlines to invest in new capabilities will be addressed, as well as the parallel challenge of integrating Unmanned Aircraft Systems into the National Airspace System (NAS).

The annual conference will cover the six component programs of NextGen Implementation, including Collaborative ATM Technologies (CATM-T); Data Communications; System Wide Information Management (SWIM); NAS Voice Switch; NextGen Network Enables Weather; and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B).

“The Avionics for NextGen Conference will provide a complete synopsis of all facets of NextGen Implementation” said Emily Feliz, Avionics Magazine Editor-in-Chief. “We look forward to providing a ‘can’t miss’ yearly update on NextGen for members of the aviation community.”

Avionics for NextGen will be held September 13 at the Caesars Casino and Hotel located 2100 Pacific Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401. For more information or to register, visit www.AvionicsforNextGen.com.
