Naverus, based in Kent, Wash., introduced a custom Required Navigation Performance (RNP) Availability Forecast system for aircraft operators. Operators who use RNP are required to obtain a RNP availability forecast for intended airports of operation. The Naverus RNP Availability Forecast (NRAFS) provides worldwide RNP availability forecasting specifically tailored to the equipment on board the operator’s aircraft. It integrates the configuration of the GPS satellite constellation at any given time with terrain features, specification of equipment onboard the aircraft and RNP requirements, which provides operators with information they need to dispatch aircraft on RNP flight paths, the company said. "NRAFS gives operators a practical, easy-to-use tool that allows them to extract the maximum value from RNP operations," said Naverus CEO Steve Forte.
