TrueNorth Avionics, based in Ottawa, Canada, completed integration testing with Chelton to offer an Inmarsat high-speed data (HSD) global airborne broadband communications service for business aviation operators using TrueNorth’s Simphone airborne telecommunications system. TrueNorth said Simphone’s open architecture was designed to enable connectivity with a variety of networks and equipment. Chelton’s broadband system is available through the TrueNorth dealer network, while the broadband service is available through a number of service providers, TrueNorth said.
