[Avionics Today 03-06-2015] Viva Aerobus Airlines, based in Apodaca, Mexico, is extending its contract for heavy maintenance services with Pulsar Aviation Services for an additional three years over the original two-year term.
During the initial two-year contract, Pulsar completed 15 heavy maintenance visits on 737-300 aircraft. The first aircraft under the extended maintenance contract arrived at the Pulsar facility at the end of February and is currently undergoing heavy maintenance.
"As Viva transitions its fleet from Boeing to Airbus aircraft, the extension of our existing contract will allow Viva to minimize the transition headaches," said David Reed, Pulsar president and chief executive officer.
