[Avionics Today 07-13-2016] Following Airbus’ March acquisition of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and aeronautical charts and navigation data solutions provider Navtech, the company has launched its new integrated flight operations and air traffic management service company – NavBlue. The company, which will function as a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus, aims to provide digital and integrated flight operations solutions.

NavBlue’s portfolio offers products from Navtech’s existing portfolio as well as products from Airbus, such as the company’s ProSky’s Air Traffic Management solutions and other flight operations products. The new subsidiary will also draw on Airbus Defence and Space’s access to satellite data and analysis. The product families will support both civil and military environments, on the ground or on board any aircraft.
