[Avionics Today 02-19-2016] Airbus has signed an agreement to provide flight and maintenance training services to Vietjet in Ho Chi Minh City. With this agreement, Vietjet’s flight training center will host an Airbus A320 Full-Flight Simulator (FFS) to conduct flight crew training for its A320 family fleet.

In addition, the agreement provides maintenance-training services via the Airbus training media and courseware that will bring EASA’s standards to the Vietjet Training Organization.

“Airbus’s training will help enforce Vietjet’s capabilities in flight and maintenance training to be in line with the internationally recognized standards. Investment in an aviation institute is one of the most important goals in Viejtet’s sustainable growth strategies,” said Dinh Viet Phuong, vice president of Vietjet.
