ACSS, an L-3 Communications & Thales Company, said Bombardier Aerospace has delivered the first Q400 equipped with ACSS’s TCAS 3000SP (Surveillance Processor) for its Eurolot airline customer. The TCAS 3000SP will become the standard forward-fit Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) integrated into Thales’ avionics suite on the Q400.

Designed for operating in the NextGen air traffic environment, the TCAS 3000SP surveillance system features the latest TCAS Change 7.1 software. EASA mandated the TCAS Change 7.1 standard in December of 2011 for use on all new aircraft operating through European airspace. The TCAS Change 7.1 feature on all new Bombardier Q400 aircraft will be available through the ACSS TCAS 3000SP.
