[Avionics Today 03-24-2015] Santa Barbara, Calif.-based charter operator Silver Air is outfitting its entire fleet of business jets with Gogo Biz mobile broadband Internet. The Silver Air fleet currently features Wi-Fi on the Gulfstream GV, GIV and G450 models as well as the Cessna Citation X and CJ2 models.

Currently, the Silver Air Citation V, Citation II, CJ2, Citation I and Phantom 100 models are being equipped with Wi-Fi. Gogo Biz will allow passengers to browse the Web, send and receive emails, and log onto their corporate Virtual Private Networks (VPN).
“The private aviation industry is changing, and our clients have come to expect mobile Internet onboard the aircraft to keep them connected and productive while in the air,” said Silver Air CEO Jason Middleton.
