[Avionics Today 01-22-2014] OAG, a company that provides flight schedules and related analytics, has announced the acquisition of Boston-based real-time flight information solutions provider FlightView.
FlightView will contribute real-time flight information, accessible to operators to track their aircraft fleet, alongside OAG’s schedule database of more than 900 airlines.
"Real-time flight status information is increasingly important to a wide range of customers. From airlines, airports and online travel businesses to fuelling companies, this data is key to enhancing passenger experience, driving operational efficiencies and traveller-centric services these companies now are eager to pursue,” said Phil Callow, chief executive of OAG.
