[Avionics Today 12-23-2014] Global Eagle Entertainment (GEE) announced Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval from the FAA for equipping Boeing 777s with its Ku-band satellite connectivity system. The system will be made available for retrofitting on Boeing 777s beginning in January 2015.
