[Avionics Today 09-10-2014] Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines signed an agreement with Scandinavian Avionics to provide the future proof tablet-based Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) solution for their fleet of Boeing 737-NG aircraft.

The solution consists of two ruggedized 10.1 tablets Panasonic tablets and Scandinavian Avionics’ tablet power solution. The deployment is prepared to facilitate avionics connectivity and expansion for future planned upgrades.

According to a statement released by Scandinavian Avionics, the solution provided to Pegasus follows the industry path to introduce Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) tablets in the cockpit while leaning on avionics components for functions to reside in the aircraft for many years.
